ID verification

Every adult guest has a valid government photo ID checked before entry. Accepted: Aadhaar, passport, driving licence or voter ID. PAN cards are not accepted, as they carry no address. Foreign nationals: passport and visa.

The guest who books must be 18 or over. Guests under 18 stay only with a parent or legal guardian.

  • Booked directly or by a company: IDs are shared on WhatsApp with a selfie before check-in. Copies are stored securely and used only for your stay and for legal reporting.
  • Booked on Airbnb: Airbnb verifies your identity. At the gate, the society's security and Indian law require the original ID of every adult to be shown and matched to the booking, as stated on our Airbnb listings. We do not keep copies of Airbnb guests' IDs, except the record the law requires for foreign nationals.
  • Foreign guests are registered with the authorities (Form C), as Indian law requires.
  • Only the guests named in the booking may enter. Children and close family are welcome if named on the booking and counted in the guest numbers. No visitors or unregistered guests at any time.
  • At check-in, show the security team and our caretaker your booking confirmation (our written confirmation, or the Airbnb booking confirmation) and the original ID of every adult. Entry is only for the names on the booking.
  • The entry passcode is shared only after the IDs are verified. If ID verification fails, the booking is voided.
