How booking works

Shepherds Homes takes direct stays by enquiry, not instant booking. We check every enquiry before we confirm it. Stays booked on Airbnb follow Airbnb's booking process, terms and policies, and the house rules shown on the Airbnb listing.

1. Send an enquiry

Tell us your dates, the number of guests, who is staying (family, friends, colleagues) and the purpose of the stay. Enquiries continue on WhatsApp, which confirms your phone number.

2. We check availability and the price

Prices on the website are estimates. We confirm the final price, including the cleaning fee, taxes and the refundable security deposit, on WhatsApp within a few hours.

3. Guest screening

We ask for:

  • a government photo ID for every adult guest, before check-in (see ID verification);
  • the names of all guests, including children and close family who will stay;
  • your company or college, for work and long stays;
  • a short call, if needed.

We confirm every enquiry once the details match the ID and the home suits the group size.

4. Confirm

Once approved, you receive a payment link and the stay agreement with the house rules. For a company booking, the booking is confirmed only after an authorised person at the company accepts these policies by email, from the company's own email address. The booking is confirmed when the stay amount and the security deposit are paid and the agreement is accepted. You then receive a written booking confirmation on WhatsApp and email. The entry passcode is shared after the IDs are verified.

5. Arrive

At the gate, show the security team your booking confirmation (our written confirmation for direct stays, or the Airbnb booking confirmation) and the original photo ID of every adult. The names must match the booking. Our caretaker checks the same at the door, then welcomes you in.

Entry is only with a confirmed booking, with no exceptions, past guests included. Our staff cannot check anyone in, hold a room or take payment for a stay. To stay again, message us on WhatsApp or book on Airbnb.

See it first

Each home's page lets you schedule a paid in-person visit (₹500 per visit) or a virtual tour before you book. For stays of 28 nights or more, the ₹500 is kept as a deposit and deducted from your booking when you book, and the virtual tour is free.
